IT'S TIME TO RETHINK THE POSSIBILITIES OF GREEK LIFE

Fraternities and sororities are some of the most well-educated, well-funded, well-organized groups in the world. They are a powerful force for social change and personal excellence. Almost a million college students in North America are changing the world and experiencing a fulfilling collegiate experience through Greek Life. College should be about more than “getting a job,” “making money,” or “having connections.” It should include people who challenge you to be the best version of you. We all want to matter, and Greek Life provides the chance to matter in ways that no other experience can compete with.

Greek Life needs leaders, not followers. Greek Life needs creators, artists, thinkers, and makers. We need a new generation of founders. Our history is long, but our future is longer. It’s time for a new vision. It’s time to ReThink Greek.

MEMBERS GET BETTER GRADES

Fraternity and sorority members achieve a higher GPA than students who don’t join Greek Life. Greek organizations provide tutoring and mentoring groups, individual study plans, and resources for success.

MEMBERS GRADUATE ON-TIME

Did you know over 1/3 of college students do NOT expect to graduate within 4 years? A research study by Gallup revealed that members of Greek Life graduate “on time” at a significantly higher rate than their peers.

MEMBERS ARE MORE PREPARED FOR LIFE AFTER COLLEGE

After graduation, people who were in a fraternity or sorority are 50% more likely to report feeling like their college experience prepared them for the real world. Greek Life teaches its members how to apply the lessons they learn in the classroom through real leadership experiences.

MEMBERS ARE HAPPIER

According to the Gallup-Purdue Index study, members of fraternities and sororities are more likely to be thriving in all the key measures of well-being during their post-graduate years. Greek Life provides purpose, social connections, community engagement, and more.

We actively sculpt our world because our world desperately requires our hands. We want to matter. We are more than our profiles. We seek real, live, human connection. We are tired of the trivial. A GLOBAL COMMUNITY OF OPPORTUNITY

Some fraternity/sorority chapters think they're drinking clubs. Don't join them. If alcohol seems to be the center of their activities, they're probably not a real sorority or fraternity - they're just drunk buddies with matching t-shirts. ReThink Greek is a campaign started at Belmont University by driven, creative, bold college student leaders. These leaders were generous and visionary – they wanted the story to grow beyond Belmont. The campaign was handed over to Innova, a group of people who care deeply about the future of fraternity/sorority life. It has grown to tell the story of the entire fraternal movement to millions of students and parents around the world
